16 March 2006 - 1st Baywatch Parking Survey

The first Northern Ireland Baywatch Parking survey is being held from Saturday 25th March to Friday the 31st of March.  During these seven days  hundreds of volunteers will be surveying car parks all over the country to try and guage the level of abuse of accessible parking bays designed to be used by disabled people.

This is the first of a number of events organised by the Baywatch Campaign in Northern Ireland designed to highlight the difficulties caused to disabled people by the abuse of accessible parking bays by other members of the public.  The Campaign is a partnership of disability organisations.  Imtac is the lead partner in the Campaign.

We are still looking for volunteers for the survey.  If you are interested you can contact us for a survey form or you can download one from the Baywatch section of this website.  Surveys can be done at any car park during the week and returned to us using the Freepost address.

Thank you for your support.
