4 September 2007 Imtac focuses on information

Imtac has published a report jointly undertaken with the DRD on the current provision of travel information and its accessibility for disabled people and older people.

The report surveyed transport providers currently in receipt of government funding including Translink, Community Transport operators and Shopmobility schemes.  It also looks at Government schemes such as Door2Door and Concessionary Fares.  The report highlights the need for improvements in the provision of information amonst all operators and makes a series of recommendations.  Over the next year Imtac will be working with our partners in Government and the transport sector to implement the recommendations.

The report, entitled "Improving Travel information for Older People and Disabled People", is now available on the publications section of this website.  Should you require a hard copy or an alternative format please contact us.
