The Department for Regional Development (DRD) are seeking the views of disabled people and older people about transport. This is part of the review of the Action Plan of the Accessible Transport Strategy. The Department want to hear if things have got better since the Strategy was published in 2005 and what issues Government should be looking at in the next 2 years.
A draft Action Plan has been published for consultation. The proposed focus for the Strategy is around information and training. You can comment in a number of ways. There is a questionnaire published with the consultation document. The DRD is also working with Imtac to organise a number of meetings where people can give their views. The meetings are in Coleraine, Omagh, Cookstown, Derry, Enniskillen, Newry and Belfast in November.
For more information on the meetings or to obtain a copy of the consultation visit www.drdni.gov.uk/ats.
