13 August 2008 - DRD publish ATS Action Plan

The Department for Regional Development (DRD) has published the Action Plan for the Accessible Transport Strategy (ATS) covering the period 2007-2009.

The ATS was first published in 2005 and has the following vision:

"To have an accessible transport system that enables older people and people with disabilities to participate more fully in society, enjot greater independence and experience a better quality of life."

The ATS has seven key strategic objectives, 31 policies linked to these objectives and related actions which help implement the Strategy.  The ATS Action Plan is reviewed and renewed every 2 years.
