Information plays a key part in making services such as transport accessible. Not only must information about services be readily available it must also be designed to be accessible to the widest audience. This not only makes good business sense it is also a legal requirement under the Disability Discrimination Act.
To help transport providers and others develop good accessible information Imtac has developed two publications. The first is Making Your Information Accessible - Guidelines for Transport providers which contains detailed information on how to make a range of information accessible. The second publication is called Eight Steps to Inclusive Marketing and is designed to be used as a checklist for people designing information.
Both publications are available on the Publications section of this website or in hard copy or alternative formats by contacting Michael Lorimer at our offices.
