Consultation on Lisburn public realm

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council has launched a consultation on a controversial public realm scheme in Lisburn City Centre. The scheme includes sections were the footway and carraigeway are separated by kerbs only 30mm high. The scheme has been subject to criticism from some disabled people and older people and Judical Review which found the Council failed to consult properly in developing the scheme.

The Council has now published a draft Equality Impact Assessment on kerb heights used in the scheme. The consultation document can be found here:
