Glider services go live

The new Glider service has launched in Belfast today. The service will operate on two routes. G1 operates between Dundonald Park & Ride and the McKinstry Road Roundabout along what was previously the Metro 4 and 10 routes. G2 operates between the City Centre and the Titanic Quarter.

The service uses brand new vehicles with three doors for quick and easy access. The service stops at new halts along the route. Tickets must be obtained before boarding the service but anyone with a Smartpass, including people with the Half-Fare Smartpass, can travel for free on Glider.

Imtac is currently working with Translink to produce a guide for disabled people and older people to using Glider. In the meantime more information about the service can be obtained from the Translink website.
