New Chairperson and members appointed to Imtac

The recent recruitment process for Imtac Chairperson and members has now been concluded. Bert Bailie has been appointed as the new Chairperson. Bert is a current member of Imtac and has been the Vice-Chairperson in the past. Bert  is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) and spent most of his career in NI Roads Service. As well as Imtac Bert is involved with the Lisburn Branch of Parkinson’s UK.

Joining the Committee  as a member for the first time is Aaron McKane. Current member Paul McCloskey has been appointed for a second term. Previous member June Best has rejoined Imtac.

The Chairperson and Imtac members are appointed to serve for a term of three years. The Chairperson and members can serve a maximum of two terms after which they must step down for a period of at least 12 months before reapplying.

Former Chairperson, Max O'Brien, stepped down from the Committee this year as did the current Treasurer, David McDonald. Everyone at Imtac would like to thank Max and David for their invaluable and significant contribution to the work of the Committee during their membership.
