Translink removes 24 hour notice requirements on Goldliner

As from today Translink has removed the requirement for wheelchair users to give at least 24 hours notice to travel on their Goldliner coach services.

Despite the change there remains a significant number of bus stops where passenger lifts cannot be deployed safely. Because of this Translink advise passenger to check their local bus stop online before travelling. Full details of services are available on the Translink website here.

Although we believe the change is overdue Imtac welcomes the removal of some restrictions. We do, however, have major concerns about the continued inaccessibility of some services and will continue to press for the removal of all restrictions and the the effective implementation of the right of Deaf people, disabled people and older people to travel on an equal basis to others.
